Beijing Shichahai Sandlwood Boutique Courtyard Hotel

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with phone calls and directions. The hotel is located in a charming and quiet traditional neighborhood, close to the city center and within walking distance of the subway and even the Forbidden City. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the facilities were top-notch. The breakfast served every morning was delicious and satisfying. this hotel provided the perfect base for our stay in this city.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

I had an incredible experience staying at a beautiful little hotel in Beijing. The staff, especially Joanna and Seven, were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The rooms and open areas of the hotel were delightful, and the location in the hutongs of old Beijing was perfect for exploring. The Chinese breakfast served each morning was absolutely splendid. The hotel was cozy and warm during my mid-winter visit. I highly recommend this hotel for its charm, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, situated right next to a local restaurant where you can try delicious traditional cuisine. It is located in the historic Hutong area of the city, allowing you to experience the charm of Beijing's old streets. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated Chinese private residence, providing a unique and authentic accommodation experience. Furthermore, it is conveniently close to the subway, making it easy to access the main attractions of the city.

The TV and services at the hotel could be improved, especially during major events such as the World Cup.

The hotel was beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and art, creating a charming and romantic atmosphere. the location was perfect, with easy access to the Houhai Lakes and major historic sites, allowing us to explore the city at our leisure. We also loved the fact that traditional Chinese breakfasts were available and the staff provided activities such as calligraphy and tai chi, adding an extra touch of authenticity to our stay.

One downside was that the rooms were a bit dark, which made it difficult at times to see clearly. Additionally, the bathroom was not very practical, with the mirror located behind the sink and the shower temperature and pressure being inconsistent.

That the bar lacked a variety of drinks and the cocktail options were limited.

Chinese style breakfast, clean property, good service from staff. Complimentary ticket to nearby shadow art performance. Suitable for short stays but not for entire trip. Courtyard is a nice place to relax.

Great location in Hutongs near lakes, helpful staff, beautiful traditional building, excellent bed, attentive and friendly staff, varied breakfasts.

Nice breakfast with both Western and Chinese options. Beautiful building in a great location, close to restaurants and tourist spots. Snack shop nearby is cheap and tasty.

Good Luxury awaits here with private facilities and exclusive amenities that make this hotel stand out from the rest. the service is unparalleled, with staff who attend to your every need. the Bar/Lounge area is perfect for relaxing after a long day. Breakfast is divine, with both Western and Chinese options that are delicious. the location advantages make moving around the city easy and quick.

Bad the only minor issue was a lack of space for toiletries in the bathroom. the spacious and comfortable rooms more than made up for this.
